Introduction
Previously, CM Sign email templates in MSR were limited to standard Salesforce merge fields and basic tokens, lacking the ability to include specific dossier details. This update introduces new dossier-specific tags, allowing you to include document lists, approver names, and custom comments directly in your invitation and reminder emails. This brings CM Sign to functional parity with the My Sign workflow, providing a more informative and professional experience for your signers.

Feature explanation
When sending CM Sign invites or reminders directly from MSR, you can now use three new dossier tags in your email templates: #CMsignfilename#, #CMsignapprovers#, and #CMsigncomment#. These tags automatically resolve to the list of documents on the dossier, the names of all invitees, and any specific remarks recorded for that signing request. If a tag has no value, such as when no comment is provided, it will simply be replaced with an empty string to maintain a clean email layout.
To support these new tags, the document submission interface has been updated. When MSR is configured to send invites, users will now see a dedicated field to enter comments and remarks, similar to the My Sign interface. This ensures that any necessary context or instructions can be captured at the moment the signature request is initiated and then automatically included in the outgoing email.
These improvements are additive and do not affect existing template features. Your current Business Label tags, standard Salesforce merge fields, and portal URL tokens will continue to function exactly as before. The new tags are supported across all invitation and reminder template variants, including those for candidates and customers.
Set-up / Implementation time
This feature is available immediately for environments where 'Send Invite From MSR' is enabled; simply add the new tags (#CMsignfilename#, #CMsignapprovers#, #CMsigncomment#) to your CM Sign email templates in the CM Sign Settings.
