Start and end dates of free text skills available in documents

Extend document generation with start and end dates for free text skills of contacts. MSR-1111 | 2026-01

Within MSR, free text skills on a contact record can include a start and end date. Until now, these dates were not available when generating documents. This feature extends document generation so that the start and end dates of free text skills can be included in document templates.

Who is this feature relevant for?

  • Application administrators managing document templates

  • Recruiters and consultants who include candidate or person skills in documents and want to display start and end dates (for example when certificates are recorded as skills)

Feature explanation

Extension of skills in document XML

For documents that use contact skills, new XML nodes have been added for free text skills. This applies to documents generated based on the following entities:

  • Candidate

  • Person

  • Job Application

The existing functionality for evaluation skills remains unchanged.

The following XML tags have been added for free text skills:

  • SkillRecordStartDate (for example: 01-01-2025)

  • SkillRecordEndDate (for example: 31-12-2026)

  • start_date_month (for example: January 2025)

  • end_date_month (for example: December 2026)

  • start_date_year (for example: 2025)

  • end_date_year (for example: 2026)

Multiple tags are provided to support different date formats, allowing usage in various types of documents.
