Easily process answers from the questionnaire

Send questions to your candidate in a simple way and process the answers directly in the candidate, application, placement, or employment contract. MSR-1071 | October 2025

The benefits at a glance

  • Create a flexible questionnaire for purposes such as screening, onboarding, or gauging interest.

  • Link the questions to objects and fields, for example person, application, placement, or employment contract.

  • Send the questionnaire to your candidate (or contact).

  • Present the questions to the user via a link in an email or WhatsApp message.

  • The answers are stored in MSR and updated directly in the objects.

 

Feature explanation

If you are not yet working with questionnaires, you can set them up using the dedicated manual. For existing customers, we briefly explain the change in this release.

Configuring questions
For a new or existing question, you can link an object and a field. For example:

  • Objects available: Account, Employment Contract, Vacancy, Application, Person, Placement, or Ticket.

  • The choice of field depends on the question type. This ensures, for example, that a text answer cannot be linked to a field of type date.

For question types such as Single answer or Multiple answers, you can link the choices to the API values of the associated picklist.

If you want to add or change these values for existing question options, hover over the answer to select the correct value.

Once a question has been saved, the field and/or object can only be unlinked if the linked picklist values are first removed from the answer options. For this type of question, you must clean up the answers before removing the field and object. It is no longer possible to change the question type once the question has been saved.

Creating a questionnaire invitation
Via a flow or manually, an invitation can be created for the candidate. You can link all available entities to this invitation.

Updating objects from submitted answers
The system automatically processes incoming answers per object to minimize the number of operations. For example, if three questions are linked to the person object, all three answers are processed at once in that object. However, if a validation rule prevents updates in this case, none of the fields on that object are processed. Other objects included in the same questionnaire are still processed. Check the integration log to see the specific error message.

Presenting answers
To directly present the given answers in MSR, the LWC component Question Answers is available. In this release, this component has also been improved: it now also shows from which questionnaire the question was answered.

Set-up

If you already work with questionnaires, make sure that permissions are updated for the following objects:

  • Answers (msf__Answers__c): New field Picklist Value (msf__Picklist_Value__c). Administrators: edit access to all fields. Users: read access to all fields.

  • Questions (msf__Question__c): New fields Field (msf__Field__c) and Object (msf__Object__c). Administrators: edit access to all fields. Users: read access to all fields.

  • Questionnaire Invitation: New fields Employment Contract (msf__Employment_Contract__c) and Placement (msf__Placement__c). Administrators and users: edit access to all fields.
