CM Sign Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) Support

Introduction
In some countries, legislation requires a higher standard for digital document signing. In Belgium, for example, employment contracts must be signed with a qualified electronic signature. A qualified signature provides a higher level of identity assurance than a standard electronic signature, because the signer must verify their identity before signing.
MSR now supports qualified signatures via the CM Sign integration. This functionality is available on request and is enabled per customer after a contractual agreement with Mysolution.

Feature explanation
On the document type record, default values for the Identification Method can be set per approver slot (Approver 1, 2 and 3). The available values are None (standard signing, no verification required) and Qualified (identity verification required before signing).
When submitting a document via the submission screen, these default values are pre-populated automatically. Users with the custom permission "Override Document Sign Identification Method" can still adjust the settings before submitting. Without this permission, the fields are read-only.
When an approver has the identification method set to Qualified, they must complete identity verification via the Digidentity app (available for iOS and Android) before the document can be signed. This includes a liveness check and an NFC scan of a valid identity document (passport, identity card or driving licence).
Qualified signatures can only be combined with serial signing. Parallel signing is not possible when at least one approver has the identification method set to Qualified. The submission form displays a warning as soon as a conflicting combination is selected.
Set-up / Implementation time
This functionality is enabled per customer via a feature parameter (CM Sign Qualified Signatures (QES)) after a contractual agreement with Mysolution. Please contact your Customer Success Manager for more information.
Once activated, application administrators can set the Identification Method on the relevant document types. No further technical configuration is required.
