Render and edit rich text fields in List Views

View and update rich text content directly from your list views. F108260 | 2026-05

Introduction

Previously, rich text fields in List Views were displayed with raw HTML markup code, making them difficult to read, and inline editing was not supported. This update ensures that rich text content is rendered correctly and can be edited directly within the list view interface.

Who is this feature relevant for?

  • Recruitment Consultants
  • Executive Search Professionals
  • System Administrators

Benefits at a glance

  • Improved readability of rich text fields like 'Profile' in List Views.
  • Efficient inline editing via a dedicated pop-up window.
  • Seamless integration with standard UI saving for multiple field updates.

Feature explanation

Rich text fields, such as candidate profiles, now render with full markup in List Views, matching the appearance of the standard view mode. To maintain a clean interface, the amount of text displayed is determined by the column width, with an ellipsis indicating additional content. Users can hover over the field to view the full text in a scrollable mouse-over area.

Editing these fields is now possible through a specialized pop-up editor, similar to the experience of Salesforce Notes. By clicking the pencil icon, users can open the editor, modify the rich text, and confirm their changes. These updates are then queued with any other inline edits and saved collectively using the standard save button. Please note that multi-row editing with the same value is not supported for rich text fields.
