NIXZ plugin renewed as an official Chrome Side Panel extension

The NIXZ plugin is now faster, more stable, and fully aligned with Google standards.

Introduction

The NIXZ plugin has been renewed and will be released via the Chrome Web Store in the first week of February 2026. From that moment on, the NIXZ plugin will be available as a true standalone Chrome Side Panel extension, fully in line with how Google intends Side Panel extensions to work.

With “Side Panel,” we mean a dedicated section within the Chrome browser that opens as a fixed side window, separate from the main browser content.

This feature is relevant for all users who work with the NIXZ plugin and want a faster, more stable, and more predictable experience, both within and outside their primary platform.

Feature explanation

What has changed?

Important: from now on, you open and close the plugin directly via Chrome itself. The handle (the small label on the right side of the page) has been removed.

To open or close the plugin:

  • Click the NIXZ icon in your Chrome toolbar.

If the plugin is not yet pinned to your toolbar:

  • Click the puzzle icon in Chrome.

  • Click the pin icon next to the NIXZ plugin to add it to your toolbar.

 

Why this works better

Opening the plugin in the Chrome Side Panel brings several advantages:

  • Because the plugin now opens in a separate side panel, it no longer interferes with the visibility of essential page elements, such as chat functionality.

  • The plugin no longer needs to reload when switching between (profile) pages, allowing you to work more efficiently.

  • Overall, the plugin behaves in a calmer, more stable, and more predictable way.

 

Usable beyond your current platform

An additional benefit of these improvements is that the NIXZ plugin can now also be used while working on other websites. For example, you can:

  • Quickly look something up in your ATS.

  • Search for new suitable candidates using AI.

  • Search, view, or review vacancies or interim assignments.

 

Set-up / Implementation Time

No implementation is required. The new version will be available via the Chrome Web Store in the first week of February 2026.
