Improved Interface Log visibility and usability
A new user-friendly interface for managing and troubleshooting interface logs. F108739 | 2026-05
Introduction
Previously, the interface log provided a basic overview that was sometimes difficult to navigate and lacked quick actions for troubleshooting. This update introduces a modern, user-friendly Lightning Web Component (LWC) designed to streamline how you view and interact with log data.
Who is this feature relevant for?
- System Administrators
- Support Engineers
- Technical Consultants
Benefits at a glance
- Enhanced readability with a modernized layout and rounded corners.
- Improved troubleshooting efficiency with new copy-to-clipboard buttons for message content and stack traces.
- Greater flexibility by allowing the log component to be used as a record override or placed directly on record pages.
Feature explanation
The interface log has been completely redesigned using a new Lightning Web Component that follows the latest Salesforce Lightning Design System standards, including improved spacing and rounded corners. The layout of fields has been optimized to put the most important information first, such as switching the positions of Context and Success status for better visibility.
Key content fields like Message Out, Return Message, and Stack Trace are now more accessible. The Message Out field has been updated to be scalable, ensuring that long messages are no longer cut off by height limitations. This makes it much easier to review full payloads or complex integration data without extra scrolling or navigation.
To further assist with support and debugging, we have introduced dedicated copy buttons for the Message Out, Return Message, and Stack Trace fields. With a single click, users can capture all relevant technical details to include in support emails or internal documentation, significantly reducing the time spent manually selecting and copying text.
Set-up / Implementation time
This feature is available immediately after the release; administrators can optionally add the new LWC component to Interface Log record pages via the Lightning App Builder or override the Edit/New action in the object settings of the Interfacelog. Set the Lightning Experience Override to msf.InterfaceLogAction.
