Generic Apply for external applications

Introduction

Recruitment teams often receive applications from job boards, sourcing tools, and other external platforms. Until now, those connections usually needed a custom setup per platform. Generic Apply adds a single, reusable way for external systems to submit an application for a specific vacancy.

The application is handled in the same way as one submitted by a candidate themselves, so your follow-up process stays consistent.

Feature explanation

External systems can now submit a job application through a generic Apply connection. The request identifies your organization and the vacancy. Optional details such as source and campaign tracking can be included, together with the application fields you already use when candidates apply.

The application is processed like a normal candidate application. When the submission succeeds, the external system receives the new job application ID so it can continue its own workflow. Required details include the vacancy and, for new candidates, a private email address. Uploaded documents are checked against the allowed file types.

Set-up / Implementation time

Configuration is required to connect an external system. Recruitment users who only work applications in Mysolution Recruitment typically need no extra set-up. Plan this with your Mysolution contact if you want to enable Generic Apply for a partner or job board.
