Manage email maximum size attachments

You can send files up to 25 MB per attachment.

Setup

Go to Setup > Email Attachments and select “Include as attachment up to Salesforce email size limit or as links if more” you can send files up to 25 MB per attachment.

However, please note the following: 

  • The total email size must be no more than 35 MB, including headers, attachments, encoding and the email text. 
  • There is a limit of 25 MB per individual file as an attachment.

Note: You must be the owner of the document. 

Steps to Share a File in Salesforce:

  1. Navigate to the file via: 
    • Files Home: Click the dropdown arrow next to the file and select Share 
    • File Detail Page: Click Share 
    • File Preview: Click the Share icon 
       
  2. In the sharing window: 

    • Enter the name of the person you want to share the file with and select them from the list 
    • To share with multiple users, continue adding names 
    • Choose the appropriate file permission: 
    • Collaborator: View, download, share, edit, and upload new versions 
    • Viewer: View, download, and share only
