Portal security upgrade

Increase portal security by invalidating sessions on all devices as soon as the password or MFA is changed. MSR-1134 | October 2025

Who is this feature relevant for?

All customers using the candidate or client portal with password authentication via MSR.

The benefits at a glance

  • Active portal sessions on all devices are invalidated as soon as the password or MFA is changed.

  • Works separately for the candidate and client portals.

  • Minimal impact on end users: they only need to log in again when truly necessary.

  • Automatically enabled, no configuration required.

Feature explanation

When a candidate or client changes their password or MFA settings in the portal, all active sessions are automatically invalidated. This means the user must log in again on all devices. This guarantees that only the correct and most up-to-date login credentials provide access to the portal.
Changes in the candidate portal do not affect sessions in the client portal, and vice versa.

Existing links used in email communication, such as job alerts, privacy reminder links, and mailing opt-out links, remain active. Only sensitive access—such as opening the portal directly or setting a new password—is immediately blocked until the user logs in again.

Set-up

  • No set-up is required to use this feature; it is automatically enabled.
